Android Market: new features

We heard about Google’s intention to overhaul the Android Market interface way back in May at Google I/O, and it looks as though the work is done, ready to be revealed with the release of Android 2.3, Gingerbread.

Artem of Android Police received some information from an Android developer this morning, and changes to the Market app publishing interface disclose the coming features. High resolution app icons, featured graphics, and even promotional videos (via YouTube) will now be options–possible requirements–for Market entries.

Here is a screenshot from the publishing interface:

It will still be hard to challenge the quality of the iphone apps. Plus i dont think that android users care about quality apps or else they wouldn't have bought an android phone in the first place.

iOS has its fair share of crap apps to say the least. There are plenty of great apps for both platforms. Do you even own an android phone? As far as games are considered, android blows iOS away in that category solely for the fact that is has NES, SNES, Genesis and PSX emulators and not to mention I can play all of those with a wii mote without jail-breaking my phone.... Oh and android can play browser based flash games with ease. Any major mobile title comes to both platforms as well. Drink your apple koolaid, enjoy your apple device with slowly eroding market share. More and more people will wake up and decided that they would rather control their mobile experience rather than have someone else tell them what is best.

and this all happened to the iPhone too when it came out ? no ? and the ppl that bought a iPhone didn't care about good quality apps either because they bought the 1st iPhone . so the point your trying to make is not a a good 1.
