HTC teams up with SoundHound

Well this sounds like a good idea. Arguably the best Android OEM has reached an agreement with the creators of what is arguably the best software for identifying songs to include SoundHound with HTC devices in the future. The bundling will begin in Europe and expand to other regions in the future.

If you haven’t tried SoundHound, give it a shot. The app can recognize more popular tunes simply by analyzing the mediocre humming of the user. With studio quality recordings, the program identifies tracks far quicker than Shazam. The free version allows for 5 track IDs per month, while the $4.99 version offers unlimited use.

All HTC devices have horrible sound quality. That's my opinion. The galaxy S series phones all have the best volume and quality in a phone I've ever heard. What's the point of this app and the bad sound quality HTC produces. Not sure that many of have noticed it but i have. g1 nexus one g2 all have terrible sound quality. HTC devices.

My HTC Desire had poor sound OOTB, but now, running SuperVillainROM the sound is amazing! I would guess that the volume on the external speaker is increased by 50 to 100%, with no audible loss of quality.
