A member of the Open Handset Alliance’s leadership, usability, and testing team sent a tweet yesterday that indicates Android 2.3–a.k.a. Gingerbread–will be pushed out to Android Developer phones–a.k.a. Nexus Ones–over the air in the next few days.
The original tweet:
Preparen sus Nexus One (Developer version) para la actualización vía OTA de Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) para los próximos días :-D
Translates (via Google) to:
Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the next few days :-D
The Samsung device that was apparently intended to showcase Gingerbread is facing hardware issues, and has been delayed. It looks as though Nexus One owners, and Not “Nexus Two” owners may be providing us our first look at Android’s makeover.
