Google has probably done as much for global navigation as any other individual or collective cartography entity, and now the search giant (assuming that’s still an appropriate identifier), after giving us access to a blanket of stars, is assisting us in travelling a new dimension: time.
Announced yesterday on the Google Mobile Blog, the new version of Google Sky Map, which is compatible with phones running Android 1.6 and up, allows you to set your visualization period to another year. And, once you’re there, search for heavenly bodies.
