Android’s coming music player leaked

When we were shown “something beyond Froyo; an early development build” at Google I/O 2010, most of us were hoping that the super sexy music player with enhanced capabilities would be coming in Gingerbread. Of course, that wasn’t the case. But the new music player that has been leaked over at xda-developers should be coming to us with Honeycomb. File version is 3.0.

The features demonstrated and discussed at I/O, like the remote access to your home library, are not functioning in this early, development stage app. In fact, even some basic functionality is hobbled. But if you want to see where Android is headed in terms of UI sheen and possibly some navigation changes, this one is worth a shot.

It’s sluggish on my EVO, but sure is looking good!

the sync music option will be great once next os version is released. no more takin up space on my sd card

this is probably only going to affect the stock android phones... gingerbread and up

In my opinion, this music player is no way near as sleek as the Windows Phone 7 and iPhone players. Come on Android, step up your game! I would absolutely love to see a better, sleeker music player. It's one of my only gripes about android!

ok really? Microsoft and Apple are using a UI's that has been on media players made by them (Zune and iPod) and have been in the market longer then Google. So this stock media player is way better then what is there now and if you don't like it go on the Android Market and download Winamp, DoubleTwist, Rhapsody, etc
