Motorola’s dual-core Honeycomb packin’ tablet has been subject to leaks and rumors as far back as at least September. Since then, the device has gone through so many names, it’s hard to keep up with them. We’ve heard Stingray for a long time, MZ600, MotoPad, Everest, Trygon… just about the only one we haven’t heard is the new title given to the device by DroidLife. According to their sources, the Motorola tablet shown off by Andy Rubin at D:Dive is going to be known as the DROID XOOM.
Not the most flattering title, but I suppose it works. What doesn’t work so well, is the exclusion of Verizon’s 4G LTE network. No telling if that’s something that will be added last minute or as some sort of adapter, but for now it’s looking like it’ll be 3G only.
What do you guys think, is this something that would deter you from buying the XOOM? Or is dual-core Honeycomb goodness enough to leave you drooling? Sound off in the comments below
