Kindle for Android on NOOKcolor

Since the launch of Barnes & Noble’s NOOKcolor (review) the device has been hacked into a cost efficient tablet. One of the main advantages to rooting a device like the NOOKcolor is that it provides access to the Android Market and its huge catalog of apps–apps like Amazon’s Kindle for Android.

Seeing Amazon’s Kindle for Android app running on a NOOKcolor may seem funny, but more than that, it’s just freaking awesome. NC can replace virtually any e-reader with an Android app counterpart at this point, for those with the gusto to root (guide). Once your NOOK is rooted with Market access, Kindle is a simple standard app install. For just $249, I don’t think you’ll find a better e-reader/tablet bargain.
