If you’re an EVO user who loves Swype but can’t stand the last several beta versions, the OTA headed your way will be a breath of fresh air. According to this xda-developers thread, OTA_supersonic_3.70.651.1-3.30.651.3_releasekobxwrvtv9q86pp0.zip includes an public release of Swype.

Insiders are confirming the update:

“Team, There has been a new software version released for the Evo, please reference the CE forums for the specific update details. Please understand this is a tiered roll, each device will not be able to update until the unit is eligible for the update. This is to prevent overload of the server. The user will receive a notification when eligible for the update. ”

One xda user reported the update was available to his EVO OTA.

I downloaded the update from a link at Android Central (now broken, HTC seems to have removed the file), but received an error when flashing. Has anyone had luck with this update yet?
