Google I/O early registration begins
For developers and attendees of the 2010 I/O (Google’s annual gathering in San Francisco where new Google products and ideas are introduced to the world), registration for Google I/O 2011 has begun. The event will take place in Moscone Center on May 10th and 11th, and is expected to sell out very quickly. Eligible early registrants received email invitations today, offering the early bird fee of $450 (a $100 increase over last year). On February 7th, registration will open up for the general public at $450 and for academia at $150. General registration will increase to $550 on April 17th. Tickets for BootCamp on May 9th can be bundled with I/O tickets at $100 each.
See Google’s I/O site for more information.

I like the countdown page, but I don't even have 20$ let alone $450/$550 to be able to afford going to these things if I could go.
