It looks like HTC’s much rumored tablet may ship with something special on top of Android 3.0, Honeycomb. As google has done in forking Android into tablet and phone friendly versions with their own distinct user interfaces, HTC could be differentiating their popular and sleek Sense user interface into phone and tablet variations. At least that seems a plausible explanation for the OEM’s European filing for trademark protection for “Sensation” on the 19th.
Seen below is a screenshot of the filing, courtesy ANDROIDOS.in, and while hardware and accessories are mentioned in the paperwork, interface software is as well. Perhaps HTC is launching a line of tablets called Sensation with accompanying accessories, but that would be a bit of a non sequitur considering the brand recognition regarding their glossy phone skin.
