New details on emerge the Samsung S5830

Just last week here at DroidDog, we brought you a preview of a device destined to be shown at MWC known as the Samsung S5830. If you need a little help remembering, it’s the one that looks like a knock-off iPhone 4. Well thanks to the Thai website MXPhone, we now have a couple different names tagged to the device, as well as some specs to go along with them. The Samsung Ace, or Cooper, is going to be a low-end, low-res Froyo device with TouchWiz on board.

Android 2.2 Froyo
TouchWiz 3.0
3.5 inch display with 480 x 320 pixels (just like an old iPhone)
HSDPA (7.2Mbps), 900/2100 MHz
EDGE/GPRS, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
DLNA
A-GPS
3.5mm headset jack
FM radio with RDS
5MP autofocus camera with LED flash
800 MHz Qualcomm processor
150MB of internal memory
2GB microSD card pre-installed
1,350 mAh battery
112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5 mm
113 grams

Samsung clearly isn’t going for the high-end with the Ace, but the device should fare well in less developed markets. We’ll be on the lookout for more information on the Ace/Cooper once MWC rolls around.
