Optimus 2X goes up for pre-order overseas

The Optimus 2X has made quite a splash around the globe, but so far LG has been reluctant to give out official launch details. We still don’t have any solid plans on where the device will land in the US, but retailer Expansys and Ellos have opened up pre-order for the 2X across Europe.

Expansys‘ pre-order details place the Optimus 2X right along with current smartphones price wise – On contract with Vodafone the 2X can had for free, and without a SIM it’s coming in at £499.99 or roughly $800. According to the shipping schedule, the device should be headed out by March 21st.

Danish store Ellos has a slightly different plan in store – The device can be had for somewhere near $650, or 3599 DKK, and will ship by February 25th.

If either of these offers are a sign of things to come when the Optimus 2X lands in the US, we can expect the device to be fairly competitive. What do you think, would you buy a dual-core 2X unlocked for $650? Let us know in the comments below.
