Sony PlayStation app for Android now available
It hasn’t been officially released in the U.S. just yet, but the European PlayStation Android application that allows you to view friends’ status and profiles, PS news & blog, the PS game catalog (PSN, PSP, PS2, and PS3), as well as listings for non-game PS applications can be had by clicking the link at PlayStation Lifestyle. This is an unofficial release (for the States) and you need to enable installation of apps from unknown sources. There are some quirks here and there, like the app linking to the European version of the PS Blog, but all features seem to be working. And wow, is it pretty! No, you won’t be loading games with this bad boy; just accessing most of the information you see when you fire up a PS3, only on your Android.
The file comes from PlayStation Lifestyle.

I like it, this is a start. But Sony really needs to open up their PSN network offerings. The influx of video apps are great, but they're only scratching the surface of what companies can offer. This app needs a messaging system so that you can send/receive messages outside of your PS3.
