No need to wait for a link. Just get Kies from Samsung's support site. Here's a direct link to the page you want: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/SGH-I897ZKAATT Once there, click the "Software" link and get Kies. No need to get the USB drivers, as they will come bundled into the Kies download. Install the software, reboot when prompted, then launch Kies Mini. It will then update itself and prompt you to connect your phone via USB. Connect your phone and give it time to connect to your computer. If Windows prompts you about what you would like to do next, close that dialog. Kies Mini should still be running, and it will prompt you to upgrade your phone. Click the Upgrade button, read the directions, then begin the upgrade. At this point, go make a sandwich or something, since there isn't much to see, and you don't have to do anything, and you certainly don't want to accidentally click anything or unplug your phone. Once the upgrade is done, the phone will boot to the Galaxy S splash screen and sit there a while. Don't worry, it will eventually move past it, but it may take about five minutes. Be patient, and the phone will restart normally. Exit Kies Mini, unplug, and you're done.

a biggie, yes, but too little too late, as most EVERYONE else is on the brink of 2.3 Samsung, Y U UPDATE SO SLOW?
