Gingerbread recoveries for myTouch and G2 now available through ROM Manager
The title just about says it all folks. If you’ve been flashing CyanogenMod nightlies, or any other Gingerbread ROM for that matter, you no doubt know by now you need a Clockwork Mod recovery of version 3.0 or higher to do so. Until now, the easiest way to flash said recovery was to use ADB or Terminal Emulator. Such is not the case anymore for myTouch 4G and G2 users.
Announced via Twitter today, ROM Manager now includes 3.0 recoveries built in for the myTouch and G2. This makes switching back and fourth between Froyo and Gingerbread based ROMs a breeze. To select which recovery version you’d like to install, simply scroll to the bottom of the app, and select “All Clockwork Mod Recoveries.” From there, the newest 3.0 is your best bet if you’re installing a recovery for a Gingerbread ROM like CM7, and the newest 2.+ recovery is what you’ll wanna flash for anything Froyo, like MIUI.
There may still be some bugs present — you’ve been warned. Personally, I haven’t had any problems yet. Go get your flash on!

Good afternoon...I tried the CM7 RC!(great ROM) but really liked HTC Sense...I made a back up before flashing CM7 but when I tried to restore, My phone froze...I got my phone up and running(I unrooted and rooted to get back to my HTC stock Sense with root) I am waiting for the CM7 to get an update, if there are any, but when I do, all I have to do is back up my current rom and then change CWM to 3.0 and visa versa if I wanna go back ?
