There’s never any drought on the rumors. While Amazon is getting ready to launch their own Appstore for Android, it looks like the online retailer may not be happy with just building a huge virtual store with Android apps inside. Rumor has it that the company is also planning on including Android in a future version of their ridiculously popular eReader, the Kindle. No word on whether or not the Kindle DX would get the same Android love, though. Lab126, the comapny that’s behind the work on the Kindle, is apparently hiring Android developers like they’re going out of style, which has lead many to speculate that Amazon is hard at work on an Android-powered Kindle. There’s no telling what, exactly, Amazon is planning in the Android field at the moment, but a tablet device would sure be a surprise. An eReader, though, may be exactly what Amazon does not want to do.
