HTC Pyramid benchmarked

The freshly leaked HTC Pyramid –pictured for the first time yesterday here– has been put under the microscope by the folks at Smartphone Benchmarks, and so far, things aren’t looking so good.

Using a dual-core processor, the Pyramid easily beat the Galaxy S, Droid 2, and G2 among others in terms of CPU performance. However, it failed to meet the standards set by the Optimus 2X and Atrix. When it comes to GPU performance, the Pyramid put out rather poor scores, failing to surpass the Galaxy S.

Of course real world performance is going to look a lot different with a final product, so don’t count the Pyramid out just yet. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

Mmmm.. maybe it's based on the fact it has qHD resolution, but the Atrix has that too.. disappointment :( or maybe it's actually single core not dual core..

ya, this seems really unreliable to me. and i thought that those weren't even pictures, they were renders.

So wait...they have benchmarks of the phone, yet only two pictures have ever been seen of this thing? If they have the phone to do benchmarks, why aren't we getting more pictures too?
