HTC Thunderbolt Review [Video]

The Thunderbolt is a first in many ways. It’s the first Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Device and it’s also the first Verizon device capable of both voice and data over 3G simultaneously. The Thunderbolt is a ground-breaker with its new technologies.

Even the spec sheet for the Thunderbolt is pretty impressive. With 768MB of RAM and a 1GHz single core processor this phone is no slouch. It’s not running the latest version of Android or the latest and greatest processor but it definitely puts previous generation Sense devices like the Incredible and the EVO behind.

But is it the phone for you? Does it live up to the hype? Check out the video review.

I'm really impressed with the Thunderbolt, I think it's what I'm going to upgrade to in June. The only complaint I have, is that it looks like the USB port to charge is on the bottom left, which will most definitely get in the way of using the phone while it's charging... both left handed (which I am) and two handed... especially when it comes to typing. But I can probably get over that, it's not a deal breaker in the least bit. I don't live in a 4G area, or an area that's going to get it within the next year or two, but that's great because I heard Verizon is not offering unlimited plans for their LTE network so I'd be signing an unlimited 3G contract anyways, even if we had 4G. Thanks for the review, you did superbly, and it helped finalize my decision on what to get.

It's nice to have the future ability to use 4G, but when you have to pay for it...it's not great. I have an HTC EVO and I live in Buffalo. There's no sign of 4G coming to this area, and I hate having to pay for it monthly. Anyways I totally didn't read your second part of the post until now. If that's the case, then go for it. I'm quite jealous of this phone. It has 40Gb installed memory.
