Announced today on the Google Mobile Blog, Google has added Instant Previews to their mobile search site. Available in 38 languages on any device running Android 2.2+ or iOS 4.0+, Instant Previews support provides a button next to search results on Google.com that when clicked, provides you with a preview of what the website will look like.
The way Instant Previews is being used with Google’s mobile search is quite impressive. After pressing the Instant Previews button, a dark page is brought up that lets users flip through search results using only the visual preview. Of course there’s link information below the main preview picture, but sorting through search results based on how the site looks is really handy. If you’re looking for a list, pictures, videos, or any other type of media, you can quickly see what different websites have to offer.
To use Instant Previews, just visit Google.com from a compatible handset today.
