LG Optimus 2X fitted with custom recovery and more

Good news potential G2x buyers, the LG Optimus 2X — big brother to its Magenta branded vanilla counterpart — has just landed its very own ClockWork recovery and custom kernel thanks to Paul of MoDaCo.

Whenever a high-end smartphone comes out with Android on board, you can almost guarantee it will be rooted and hacked one way or another. Not only does the Optimus 2X already have its own version of ClockWork recovery and a custom kernel, but a stock ROM has been extracted for developers to begin work on. This is all thanks to Paul O’Brien who has posted the necessary materials to start deving at his site MoDaCo, along with XDA as well. It’s only a matter of time now until we see ports and ROMs that finally take full advantage of that dual-core goodness locked inside. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for anything fancy that lands online.

Never sorry to say they even came out with a Galaxy S phone and charged up the as* for it even more than the others and of course the specs a lowered beyond disappointment sorry to say that's why i will never go with Metro it's like a policy to have crap phones =/

The reason why the galaxy phone is soo high is because it's a no contract company so you won't be able to pay the real price thru the payments

Ok but that still doesn't justify why they lowered the specs on the phone let's face it their just not a major contender yet or ever will be...

When will Metro PCS come up withe the equivalent of the thunderbolt (both a phone and modem capabilities at the same time :) ?

Thanks for sharing....good...
