LG’s got their G-Slate coming right around the corner, but the company may already be hard at work on another Android-powered tablet. This one, though, may be a bit more high-profile than the G-Slate, if rumors are true. A new rumor suggests that Google has tapped LG as the first manufacturer to bring the Nexus branding to a tablet device. Much like the previous Nexus-branded devices, like the Nexus One and Nexus S, the tablet would show off new features of the software, which is said to be Honeycomb (Android 3.0), as well as the hardware itself. According to the report, the LG-manufactured Nexus tablet could land as early as this fall. No word on what kind of specifications LG would be tossing into the tablet device, but considering they’re working from the G-Slate as an initial device, there shouldn’t be any doubt that the device would be a powerhouse.
