Those of you who were waiting to catche a glimpse of the rumored to be T-Mobile bound HTC Pyramid at CTIA were sorely let down. There was plenty of other Magenta colored goodies to be found, but no Pyramid. Fortunately, there’s still good leaks out there.
The HTC Pyramid has been caught on film and shown off on XDA where some specs have been confirmed, as well as some software. According to the pictures, the Pyramid will come with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, a 4.3-inch qHD display, 8MP camera, VGA front-facing camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Sense 3.0 atop Android 2.3.
Of interesting note in pictures of the battery cover, there appears to be metal contacts all over the inside of the battery cover that align with concats on the back of the phone. No word on what this is, but it looks eerily similar to the ones found on the Nexus S used for near field communication. Feel free to speculate in the comments below.
