T-Mobile G2x could support AT&T 3G and 4G bands as well

For those of you out there who might actually be excited about the proposed purchase of T-Mobile USA by AT&T within the next 12 months, here’s some potentially good news for you. It looks like the T-Mobile G2x by LG may have an extra feature under the hood that neither LG or T-Mobile was willing to announce at the device’s official unveiling. According to device information on T-Mobile’s website, the G2x supports not only T-Mobile’s 3G and 4G network, but also AT&T’s. As you can see in the image above, T-Mobile’s AWS/2100 band is listed, but so are the 1900/850 AWS bands that AT&T currently uses for their HSPA+ network. This could be a typo, but there’s speculation that this has everything to do with the purchase plan, and that T-Mobile is simply future-proofing their devices.

I bought this phone and got it unlocked for AT&T. It DOES NOT work with AT&T's 3G or 4G. Please let me know if you have the same problem or know a fix. Thanks

Who will disapprove it? All of the regulators and legislators get jobs with the phone companies once they finish working for the government. If they don't approve it, they don't have a career path once they leave government. But yes, it does suck.

sir i dont know you or your sources but damn it i hope your right that the deal desn't get approved!
