CyanogenMod 7.0 available now

After all the times we’ve covered CyanogenMod 7 related material here at DroidDog — how to install, a closer look at theme chooser — you’d think the ROM was officially released a long time ago. Well up until this point, it was all nightlies and release candidates. Not anymore. CyanogenMod 7.0 has finally ditched the RC label, after four long months of development, and has been released for your flashing pleasure.

Just in case you aren’t aware, CyanogenMod 7 is a vanilla Android 2.3.3 based ROM that is built from the ground up for some thirty different devices. CM7 is popular world-wide due to the crazy amount of development backing it, compatibility with themes and apps, and the high level of customization and quality you can only find in a ROM titled CyanogenMod.

Good luck flashing, and if you have a second, stop by the comments and share your CyanogenMod related story.
