Google releases official Docs app

Announced today on the official Mobile Blog, Google has finally released a native Docs app for Android into the Market.

Google Docs for Android gives you access to all of the documents stored across your Google account, allowing you to edit from your phone and share with your contacts without ever needing to visit a computer. If you’re looking for quick access to your starred documents, you can use the widget included with the app that also gives you a shortcut to Google’s new optical character recognition powered feature: documents from photos. Just by taking a picture of some text, or using a picture already on your phone, Google Docs for Android can create an editable document.

Currently, Google Docs for Android is only available for devices on 2.1 or higher, and in English. To download, scan the QR code below, or hit up the Android Market.
