Samsung Droid Charge launch plans detailed

To say the Droid Charge has been teased quite a bit lately would be an understatement. We’ve already seen oodles of pictures, a rumored price, release date rumors… even Samsung got in on the fun by releasing the source code for the Charge ahead of any detailed launch plans. Well thanks to a press release put out by Samsung today, we now have an official price and release date for Verizon’s next LTE enabled 4G Android device.

Hitting shelves on April 28th, just one week from today, the Samsung Droid Charge will be available for an unfortunate $300 on a two-year contract. The fact that the Charge includes mobile hotspot for a limited time certainly takes a little sting out of that wound, but with a single-core processor and Android 2.2, $199 would have sat rather nicely. Either way, if you’re looking to get your hands on a Droid Charge from Samsung, better start saving those pennies now.
