Whenever a company abandons, or slows down production with, a device’s updates, you can usually expect the Android community to swoop in and save the day. Such is the case with the ever cheaper Samsung Galaxy Tab.
XDA user spacemoose1 has put out an early alpha build of Honeycomb for CDMA Galaxy Tabs that just so happens to work surprisingly well. Of course, theres a lot not working, GPS, WiFi, 3G, etc., but the base system is there and so is the dedication from developers to fix everything else. You can read up on the early stages of development in the [ROM][CDMA][VZW]Honeycomb Alpha V.040211 thread, and be sure to watch the video demo below to take a look at the ROM in action.
