When a phone like the Sidekick 4G comes out, it’s hard to jude how robust the community support behind it will be. Samsung phones generally get decent support (poor when compared to HTC), and even as a niche device the Sidekick 4G looks to be going strong.
Not only has the SK already been rooted, and there are several ways to do it, but the source code for the device has just been released as well. Hopefully, it won’t be long until there are oodles of custom ROMs and hacks available for the Sidekick what will make it a must own device for anyone craving a physical QWERTY. CM7 on a Sidekick? It could happen.
