While we recently learned that the Toshiba-branded Android-powered tablet will probably be tagged with a price of $450 for the 8GB model, we’re still unsure as to what the company will be calling the device. If a recent trademark filing is any indicator, it looks like the manufacturer will be calling their Android tablet the Thrive. They filed for the name last week, and in the filing say they will be using the name for a “tablet computer.” Seems pretty straight forward. Additionally, Toshiba is snatching up domain names like ToshibaThrive.com and ThriveTablet.com, which just seems to be icing on the cake. Hopefully Toshiba does the whole official announcement thing here soon, and we can learn all the juicy details about the next Honeycomb-powered tablet soon.
