It should come as no surprise that this summer, the Galaxy S II will be invading US shores. With the way the release of the original Galaxy S went, a US adoption of the next generation is an unspoken fact. Unfortunately, we still know next to nothing as far as launch plans go. Samsung is rumored to outline North American availability of the Galaxy S II in an upcoming press event, but until then, all we have to go on is a case listing on Wireless Xcessories Group.
If you head on over to the Wireless Xcessories Group website, there you will find a case available that fits three different handsets: the “Samsung Galaxy S 2 Attain(at&t), Function(Verizon), and Within(Sprint).” The reason why this seems so credible is that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen these names. Back in late March, Samsung filed trademarks for three unheard of monikers; Attain, Function, and Within.
You may notice that a name for a T-Mobile device isn’t mentioned in either the trademark or case compatibility list. There’s no explanation behind that at the moment, but there has been leaks in the past that point towards a Magenta flavored GSII release. Perhaps T-Mobile will simply land an unaltered Galaxy S II, or on the opposite end of the spectrum, carry the only one that’s customized. Whatever the case, don’t expect T-Mobile to go without one.
