Google Voice and Sprint integration available now

It may be a week later than originally leaked, but nonetheless, the time has finally come: Google Voice with Sprint integration has gone live.

For those of you looking to get in on the action, there is two options for completing the integration,

Option 1: Keep your Sprint number: Your Sprint number becomes your Google Voice number so that when people call your Sprint mobile number, it rings all the phones you want.

Option 2: Replace your Sprint number with your Google Voice number: All calls made and texts sent from your Sprint phone will display your Google Voice number.

Whichever way you do it, Google Voice will be responsible for your voicemail services and international calls once you make the switch. For more information, visit the Sprint Google Voice page.

I did option 1. Few issues though. First of all, it doesnt seem like sprint users have all the features. One of the features advertised is that you can block certain numbers. I follow the steps in their how to video but do not have that option that is to be their to block calls that leave a voice mail. Second, I can not screen calls. Not major issues but would like those features. Otherwise the transcribe feature works great and the google voice app is cool too. Also highly recommend adding the google voice extension to chrome.

Went with Option #2. It's a near-perfect solution and I can now answer all questions about that option: - Your regular messaging app remains in use. In fact even outgoing messages sent from your phone sync up in Google Voice (GV) online. Also you can still send/receive MMS from your phone, but those won't sync to GV online. - No GV app required/desired, and in fact this works with any Sprint phone, not just Androids. The only reason to get the app is if you want to sync and manage your GV inbox on your phone or use the GV app for SMS. - Your Sprint number remains, and in fact behaves the same as your GV number (rings to other phones, gets voicemail & SMS in GV). No need to worry about those who have your Sprint number not knowing your GV number except... - Of course outgoing calls will ID with your GV number so those who know you by your Sprint number won't recognize your ID at first. - "Any Mobile" minutes will still be unlimited if that's in your plan. (unlike using GV for calls without Sprint integration). - You can undo Option 2 anytime you want, freeing up your GV number and returning you phone to your Sprint number only.

What about mms? How is Google handling their complete lack of support for it?
