FINALLY! Listen to Coast to Coast AM archives from Android

This news has been a long time coming. Ever since the Coast to Coast AM app was launched for iOS in the summer of 2009, I have been looking forward to the Android version to be released. Then, last summer, George Noory announced that an Android app was indeed under development. Then came the teases. Then came delay, after delay, after delay. Then silence. Whether some technical difficulty derailed the schedule or a desire for a simpler distribution and update method are responsible, I do not know. But C2C has opted for live streaming and playback of archived shows via the mobile browser. It is functional now.

As is the case with any other method of access, only Coast Insider (previously Streamlink) members can listen to the audio. Subscriptions can be had at $6.95 monthly, $29.95 for 6 months, or $54.95 for 12 months. If you’re already a subscriber, simply go to http://www.coasttocoastam.com, tap “shows,” and select an episode. You’ll be prompted to sign in if you haven’t already. Listen away! You can rate hour segments as well.

No, you won’t be playing abduction while listening via Coast Mobile, as you can with the iPhone app, but our Android solution for a nightly paranormal fix has arrived. And this decade-plus loyalist is satisfied.

EDIT: One downside of mobile streaming: music is played during commercial breaks on archived episodes, as is done during the live broadcast. Downloaded MP3s are still free of interruptions, with the breaks simply edited out.

Has anyone got this to work on blackberry playbook. Some of the shows only have Windows Media player and my playbook doesn't have windows media player. any help would be welcome. Thanks Stan

BeyondPod....essentially an Android app for C2C AM. Well, its a podcast manager, but syncs beautifully with the Coast to Coast AM podcast (requires Streamlink) and breaks down the episodes by hour (even syncing full descriptions of the shows) and contains no commercials. Its 6.95 or so, but I believe a week long free trial is available so that you can decide if its worth it for you. WAY better than accessing he mobile site, however you cannot access the archives (but you cant do that with the iphone app either).

The player won't launch on my Android - I see the same screens as shown above, but the play control buttons are not there. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

mmph!!! I'm still waiting for an android app just like for iPad/iPhone. And there's George Noory advertising to get a thousand Coast Insider to sign on... He would be much smarter if he would get that Android App done... I'm sure more subscription would be had... Too bad... I had an iPad but sold it to get an Asus Transformer tablet with keyboard. Got rid of iTune straight jacket... but... It is VERY SMART marketing... and Premier Radio doesn't have to handle much... but collect the cash. I can see why they have kind of favored the Apple iPhone app.

I don't have any problem with this at all with my g2x everything downloads quickly and plays without any glitches at all. I for one like the new android formatted website and I find it easy to navigate. Next best thing to an actual app.

This is NOT like the Iphone app, which is an actual self standing app.  This is just a link to the shows and you have to go through this really really tedious download process which is not working on my phone. I think Android users should have the SAME kind of interface as Iphone/Touch/Pad users.  I'm tired of being treated like a second class citizen.  My subscriber dollars are as good as the Apple folks.

Thank, God!!!  FINALLY!!!!!!  YIPPEE!!!

I can't open the link on my Acer iconia! I am so confused...

won't work with Optimus S either and to make matters worse I was using astro manager to download and now that no longer works
