Virgin Mobile and Motorola team up to bring you the high-end prepaid Triumph

If you look at any carrier’s device portfolio around the globe, you’ll see a healthy dose of Android littering every tier of quality; some high-end devices that many consider their flagship, all the way down to low-end messagers that still rock a 600MHz processor. One thing you often don’t see, however, is that type of variety on prepaid networks. Well today, June 9th, announced alongside the Photon 4G, Virgin Mobile and Motorola have come together to release Virgin Mobile’s first Motorola handset, the relatively high-end Triumph.

What exactly makes the Triumph high-end you ask? Not only does the Triumph come rocking a 1GHz processor and 4.1-inch 800×480 display, but it also comes with 5MP rear camera capable of 720p video capture, a VGA front-facing camera, 512MB RAM, 2GB on-board storage, 1400 mAh battery, and Android 2.2, Froyo. Sure, there are plenty of handsets in the US market that out-spec the Triumph, but this is about as good as it gets for prepaid selections.

No release or pricing information (which will probably seal the deal if you’re shopping prepaid) has been announced yet, but be on the lookout for more soon.
