Computers running Google’s Chrome OS are seeing greatly improved functionality thanks to this week’s significant OS update. On the heels of yesterday’s Netflix announcement, Kindle launched their Cloud Reader, which allows for instant access from virtually any computing device (Chromebeeks are specifically mentioned on the about page). But that’s not the end of the story.
Those using Chromebooks in business and educational environments where Citrix is in use can use the Citrix Tech Preview to utilize Chromebooks as a thin client, with nearly full access to what are traditionally considered desktop applications. An impressive example of this functionality can be seen in the image above, which depicts Photoshop running in Chrome OS.
