If you’re someone who loves Firefox, and have been using the mobile Beta version of the popular Web browser on your Android phone since its release, then you’ll be happy to know that the latest version has just been released by Mozilla. The latest version brings Firefox for Android up to number 6, but the update isn’t as big as some in the past. This latest update is focused on some graphical improvements within the interface, along with some improvements to performance over the long run. The Mozilla official site for the mobile Beta outlines all of the updates, which include specific visual updates for devices running Gingerbread, and improved page element locations for those of you using the latest version on a tablet.
For this latest version, though, you’ll need to be running a handset with Android 2.0 or higher, so if you’re running anything later than that you’ll be out of luck. With the inherent updates to the latest Beta, this new software also includes 150 new add-ons for your browsing pleasure, bringing the mobile version of Firefox even closer to the desktop variant. More changes are still coming, and with each new release Firefox for Mobile gets even better.
