HTC Ruby and Samsung Hercules rumored to launch October 26

The HTC Ruby and Samsung Hercules are starting to get a bit more attention in the rumor mill, which makes sense considering their rumored specifications. While the HTC Ruby may or may not be the next high-end device to hit the market (rumors are starting to point that it will be a high-end smartphone), the Samsung Hercules is certainly positioned to be one of the most popular devices on T-Mobile USA’s network when it launches sometime soon. Sooner than later, if the latest leak pans out. The internal document from TMo suggests that both devices will be landing on October 26th — just in time for the holiday shopping season.

As a quick refresher, the Samsung Hercules is reportedly packing a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and 16GB of built-in memory. It’s suggested that the Hercules will indeed be the Samsung Galaxy S II variant for T-Mobile here in the States. The HTC Ruby seems to be stuck in the middle of the rumor mill when it comes to specifications. There are some who believe that it will be a milder version of the HTC Sensation, while more recent rumors are starting to position it as a real competitor to the best smartphone crown. The latest suggested specifications include a 4.3-inch qHD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. We’ll have to stay tuned to these two devices, especially with the rumored release date sneaking up. Anyone interested in either device?

Looking fwd to know how many GB internal storage and the battery strength of the HTC Ruby. Hoping to compare the specs of the Nexus Prime (that is hoping it follows tradition and is released on Tmo) and those of the Ruby. Ofcz Nexus Prime has the advantage bcz of ICS and the rumored 4.3' or 4.5' 1280 x 720 Super Amoled HD screen and maybe the 1.5 GHz dual core TI OMAP 4460 processor (why not the 4470) or 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Krait MSM8960 processor which can reduce by 75% the consumption of power and gorilla glass. Would like to know more info on battery strength, internal storage and whether it will have a micro SD slot. Hope we could start seeing a little drip drip of leaked info to build our excitement..keep at bay those who may be even considering to jump ship to IOS.
