Motorola DROID 2 Gingerbread update changelog shows itself on Verizon’s support site

It wasn’t too long ago that we reported that Motorola was beginning a soak test for the Gingerbread update for the manufacturer’s Droid 2. Whether or not that happened, or is still going on, is anyone’s guess, but it looks like Verizon is ready to pull the curtain off the update. Over on the device’s support site, the Gingerbread update’s changelog is now available for your perusal. This is for anyone who’s interested to see what the update has in store for you device, whenever it does officially get released.

The update itself will take some space, with its 106MB. It will bring the build of the BLUR on the Droid 2 to version 4.5.601, which should make things a bit snappier. As for the device itself, you’ll be getting a few more software keyboard shortcuts, an application drawer that you can organize to your heart’s content, and some improved battery life as well. Go ahead and head through the source link if you want the full skinny on the update, and let us know if you get a notification to improve your device, won’t you?
