If Motorola or Verizon were hoping to keep the lid on the DROID Bionic, well, hopefully they’ve given up on that hope by now. As we’ve seen over the last few weeks, the device in question has been photographed all over the place, showing us its impressively large display, as well as its sloped back. We’ve seen the device from every angle, but specifics regarding the handset are still being talked about and argued over. Does it have a 4.3- or 4.5-inch display? Some say the latter, while others are positive it’s the former. (More and more rumors are suggesting it is indeed a 4.3-inch display, but we’ll have to wait and see.) While this latest picture, which you can see above, doesn’t do anything to confirm that bit of speculation right now, we can see that the handset is pulling down some impressive speeds while running the Speedtest.net application.
But, we can’t be sure if that’s on Verizon’s 4G LTE network, or if the device was connected to a WiFi hotspot when that test was being run. So while the speeds are impressive, we can’t really begin the golf clap quite yet. However, what we can get excited about, is the information regarding the DROID Bionic’s battery life. The image comes straight out of the Android Forums, and with it the news that the Bionic’s battery life is actually quite impressive. More to the point, it’s being said that it can run on moderate usage for 15 hours without a recharge. That’s pretty impressive in of itself, but especially noteworthy for a device like the DROID Bionic, with its large display and 4G LTE-connectivity. Granted, nothing’s been confirmed quite yet, but we can certainly start hoping that a battery can last that long in a device of that magnitude.
