Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi being graced with a small update

It’s been a few days since we’ve heard anything from Samsung in regards to their 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab device, and considering the last bit of news to break cover was the company’s stoppage of their TouchWiz UX update, we were waiting to hear some good news. Fortunately, with word that an update is being pushed out to WiFi-only models of the 10.1 tablet, it looks like our wish is finally coming true.

There’s not much going around as to what, exactly, the update does, but considering its small size (it comes in at only 3.22MB), it looks like it’s meant to just patch up a few things here and there. Specifically, this particular over the air update may be targeted at all those issues with the TouchWiz update, speeding things up a little bit. If you were able to get your hands on the UX update when it was initially released and you noticed some hang-ups and bugs, let us know if the update fixes any of them, won’t you?

I noticed no difference, good or bad, in performance after the recent TouchWiz update, and no difference one way or the other with this even more recent incremental update.

I am downloading an update now on my wifi only 10.1 and it is 188.42 mb

The download did download, but did not install. I wonder if having my tablet rooted is preventing it from installing.

Just read elsewhere that the big update that came out earlier thgis month is apparently the one I was getting. I also read that people hated it and some bricked their tablets installing it. Glad my download would not install.

Same problem here....installed through Kies and lost root. Rooted users beware!!
