Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 making its debut at Samsung’s Unpacked event

So, remember that mystery revolving around Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event at IFA in Berlin? There was plenty of speculation regarding what new device, or devices, that company would be unveiling at the event, and now it looks like we may have an answer. Samsung released a “teaser” application for the event, where anyone with an Android device could download it. While the app wasn’t giving much away officially, within the APK someone found three specific logos. One of which is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.

While it’s not official quite yet, going by the naming strategy that Samsung has used so far with their previously released Tabs (10.1 and 8.9), it looks like the company will be launching yet another tablet device, this time aimed for those who think 7-inches is too small, and 8.9 is right on the cusp of too big. The 7.7-inch region should be a big hit for those who want portability, but not a big display. We’ll have to wait just a bit longer to see if this pans out, but so far it looks like this is indeed the case.
