When you think Ferrari, you probably think of a high-end car. A car that elicits the very sensation of going fast. Unfortunately, then, that the Ferrari-themed Acer Liquid Mini doesn’t have the same ideals. Sure, it looks pretty, but that’s about it. Officially launched at IFA over in Berlin, Acer’s brand new variation on the manufacturer’s Liquid Mini Android-powered device may catch your eye, but that’s about it.
The device features plenty of additional applications right out of the box, all themed for the racing fan. That includes ring tones inspired by engine sounds, racing-specific applications, and a few applications that are geared towards just the Ferrari itself. Let’s just get right down to the specifications, shall we?
- 600MHz processor
- 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display
- Rear-facing camera able to capture 480p video
- 512MB of RAM
- Android 2.3
It’s good that the device will launch with Android 2.3 right out of the box, but coupled with the 600MHz processor, I doubt anyone is really going to be lunging for this phone on store shelves. There’s no word on a launch market, but don’t be surprised if this device doesn’t make an appearance in the United States.
