Android Ice Cream Sandwich shown off in video

While we’re now eagerly awaiting Samsung and Google’s Unpacked event to kick off CTIA next month, we’ve been teased with something new. A video, reportedly showcasing Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0, rumored) running on a Samsung Nexus S. That’s a lot better than images, which we were graced with last month. According to Engadget the tipster purchased a Galaxy S from eBay, and when they received the device, they found something unexpected.

Instead of having a version, let alone the latest version, of Gingerbread, there happened to be a build of Ice Cream Sandwich. The tipster obviously went into the About Phone section and found out that the device is running a version of Ice Cream Sandwich. Specifically, the build is IRK48, which is a newer version than the IRK38B that was released with the images last month. In the video, which you can watch below, there’s plenty of new features to sink your into, and to whet your appetite until you’re able to buy your own version sometime in the future.

Let us know in the comments what you think of Ice Cream Sandwich, and if you think it’s worth the wait.

i would give birth through my P**** to get the galaxy prime!

It's not setting the heather alight is it. Dull.

@guest12345678- Be prepared to be severly disappointed then because this isn't fake.

Remotely wiped already from what I've heard, guy should ask for his money back :P

For those who call fake, point me to a custom ROM that adds screen rotation animations to a nexus S. There aren't any..

I seriously doubt someone is out there selling Nexus Ss with legit Ice Cream Sandwich on ebay. I'm guessing it's just a custom ROM that someone threw on there before selling it. And why is half the video about the camera?? He really should have shown the 'About Phone" section in the video.

Shouldn't Ice cream sandwich NOT use the four main buttons anymore?

ICS wont remove the already existing buttons on the Nexus S...

Been lurking over at XDA, its been pretty much confirmed its real. Runs on a 3.0.1 Linux kernel.

The article says he bought a Galaxy S, this should be Nexus S. Otherwise a good article, hope ICS will be respectable...

I call fake, all of that can be easily faked and just looks like a mesh of everything that's already out there from honeycomb to cyanogen mod. I'll be severely disappointed if this is the real deal!

changed the ui  considerably......... not bad....but also not mind blowing

cant you upload a better video !!
