Google’s movie rental service through the Android Market has been a staple of the Market for a bit of time now in the States, but Canadian Android owners have been left waiting. According to a few reports rolling in, though, some lucky folks out there are beginning to see the movie rental service’s presence show up in a newly updated Market.
However, there seems to be a catch. It doesn’t look like subscribers to the Rogers network are seeing the update, even if they’ve recently updated the Android Market to 3.1.5. For whatever reason, Bell subscribers are the only ones getting access to Google Movies, as of right now. There’s no telling when this will change and Rogers subscribers will be able to get their movie renting desires out of the way.
If you’re on Rogers, let us know if you’re able to see Google Movies, won’t you?
