There are plenty of tablets out there. And, right now, there are plenty of prices dropping on those tablets. It looks like Best Buy is gearing up to drop the price of one such tablet, known as the HTC Flyer. In a recent announcement made by the yellow tag retailer, the tablet will be seeing a major price cut beginning tomorrow, October 1st.
Right now, you can pick up the HTC Flyer, sans the HTC Scribe pen, for $499. Obviously, with other, larger, more tablet-centric tablets out there on the market selling for less than that, the HTC Flyer wasn’t flying off shelves. So, now that the device is reaching its six month birthday, it looks like HTC is finally ready to start pricing the tablet aggressively.
Starting October 1st, the Flyer will be dropped to $299. That’s certainly a better price, but we’ll have to wait and see if the price drop is too little, too late.
