So if you’re a tablet fan, then you probably got pretty excited about T-Mobile’s announcement yesterday that the Magenta carrier would be carrying Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 device. But, if you’re a tablet fanatic, then you’re probably waiting to hear more tablet related news. So here you go: a new image suggests that T-Mobile USA is getting ready to launch a new 4G-enabled tablet from Huawei.
The image you’re looking at is of a 7-inch tablet, which will reportedly be known as the MediaPad. The fine folks over at TMoNews are saying that the device in question will feature a 7-inch display with a 1280×800 resolution. There will be a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under the hood, 16GB of built-in storage, and a rear- and front-facing camera. It will run Android 3.2 right out of the box, which is good news for those who hate buying things that are already out dated software wise. It will indeed be able to connect to T-Mobile’s 4G, and there will be a 4,100mAh battery inside.
While no information is final, it seems that the tipster believes this tablet could be announced next month at CTIA, and see a price tag of only $199 with a new, two-year contract. Pretty attractive pricing if it does turn out to be true.
