So the Pantech Breakout isn’t your kind of thing? Looking for something that has a bit less of a price tag, and a lot more of the mid-range specifications? Well then, the LG Enlighten is your phone. Set to launch on the 22nd of this month, the device is the latest to Verizon’s network that won’t blow you away with its spec list. But, if you’re in the market for a new Android phone, and don’t care about all the high-end hooplah or want to spend a pretty penny, then the Enlighten may be a viable option.
The device features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, with a 480×320 resolution. There’s a 3.2MP camera around the back, it will be powered by an 800MHz processor, and LG preinstalled a 2GB microSD card. Interestingly enough, though, the device will be running Android 2.3 right out of the box — so at least you aren’t being put out to pasture software version wise, right out of the box. And yes, there’s a custom LG skin atop Gingerbread, so no vanilla Android for you with this handset.
The Enlighten will launch tomorrow for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, and after you sign your name on that new, two-year contract. Full press release below.
