It looks like Virgin Mobile is ready to boost their Android stock a bit more with the help of LG. The wireless carrier seems set to launch what will forever be known as the LG Optimus Slider, and as you may have guessed from the name, it does indeed feature a landscape slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard.
The device, while not officially official by LG or Virgin Mobile at this point, was outed by Best Buy’s website earlier today. On the same ad, there’s a $199.99 price tag joined at the hip, but there isn’t any mention of a release date quite yet. There was a bit of info about the specifications of the device, though: you’re looking at a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, Android 2.3, and a 3MP camera around back.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to hear an official announcement from Virgin.
