It’s update season for Motorola manufactured devices, apparently. While the DROID 2 recently had its own serving of Gingerbread served up, it’s now time for the Global edition of the device –which launched right after the original DROID 2′s release– to get its own serving. That’s right, Moto Matt over at the Motorola official support forum has dropped the hammer, and revealed that the update is available now.
For those of you who hate waiting, especially when you’ve been waiting this long anyway, you can simply head into the Settings –> About Phone –> System and then pull the update from the air. That should get you right where you want to be, software version wise, anyway.
