The Motorola XOOM WiFi has been graced with an unexpected update today, according to some reports filtering in. Over at Droid-Life, it looks like the latest build is HTK75D, and actually doesn’t do much. Unless, of course, you’ve been aching to see that latest version of the Android Market on your tablet of choice.
That’s what seems to be going on here. The update itself is small in size, and the version of Android is still 3.2.1. However, the main change does look to be that the newest version of the Android Market is on board the Motorola XOOM now, the same version of the Market that you’ll see on recently updated Android smartphones. Looks like Google is just trying to unify the universe, so to speak.
If you haven’t been notified of the update, go ahead and head into Settings –> About tablet –> System updates and pull it down yourself. Once you do, let us know what you think of the new Market, and if you find anything else worthwhile.
