At IFA 2011 this week, it looks like Samsung has stolen the show with their onslaught of Android devices. One of the more notable devices showcased was the Samsung Galaxy Note, a 5.3” tablet/smartphone hybrid powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. The screen is impressive and the specs are sharp. But does it have a place in your current lineup of devices?

• Laptops were introduced to bridge the gap between desktops and phones.
• Tablets were introduced to bridge the gap between smartphones and laptops.
• The Note is introduced to bridge the “gap” between smartphones and tablets?

We can’t forget the disappointing announcement that Samsung unfortunately has no plans to introduce the Note to the United States market.
